Pain and swelling in my joints… what could it be?

I have had these pains for like 5 years and I am 32 now. They initially started in the joint of my big toes then my ankles and recently my knee. There is a lot of swelling that often turns red and then bruises. This was intially diagnosed as gout but the preventative treatment did not work at all. I eventually found some relief using Arcoxia/etroxcib however the pain has progressively became more constant and is often so bad I can not walk or even get to sleep. I have had another X-ray to see if it is Arthritis but I had these 2 years ago and they were clear. Because I have to take Arcoxia almost constantly the doctor stopped it due to the risk of heart attack and put me on Tramadol for the pain - which works to extent but the swelling remains and whilst I can rest in reasonable comfort I still can not walk more than a few metres.

Is there any other conditions it could be as the Doctor does not feel it is gout due to the permenance of the pain and the fact the joints flare up and the slightest knock or walking any appreciable distance.

For the past 2 1/2 years I have been dealing with a lot of random health problems…urticarial vasculitis, joint pain, muscle weakness and just a general "ill" feeling. My crp levels have always been elevated somewhere between 6-10, this time it jumped to 16.8. I have just moved to a new state and I will be bringing all of this lab work to a new physician, however I feel like I don’t have enough information to really ask the right questions. I have seen several doctors over the past few years and all seem to think the symptoms point to an auto immune issue but no one can seem to figure out exactly what is going on. Any advice would be really appreciated. Thanks!!

Im not sure if i have swine flue or not because my bf had a cold and i caught it from him so it might just be a cold anyway i have 6 out of 10 symptoms of swine flue.

•headache, , iv had headaches
•tiredness, , iv been really tired especially this morning also my cold has been really bad today
•chills, , i haven’t got chills but i feel really warm
•aching muscles, haven had aching muscles but i feel like i have no energy to do anything
•limb or joint pain,, i have no limb pains
•diarrhoea or stomach upset,, i had quite a few tummy aches
•sore throat, , a really bad sore throat
•runny nose,, a very bad runny nose
•sneezing,, iv sneezed altot today, i hardly ever sneez
•loss of appetite , i have no loss in appetite

also i can hardly breath through my nose and when i take a long deep breath i start coughing badly.

Does this sounds like swine flue or just a very bad cold? i am 14

i was stung by a scorpion, already went to doctor, anyone have any other info for me?

doc said take vicodin or over the counter ibuprophen but not really helping anyone have similar experience or any additional info that may help me? Symptoms are headache, localized swelling, itching, excessive sweating, extreme chills, numbness and tingling in fingers and toes, joint pain, leg pain and cramping, tenderness in ears and neck(stung on back left of neck), after the doctor i developed clear blisters on forehead down to lobes of ears.

Arthritis at age 24?

I have serious joint pains. Can someone have arthritis at the age of 24? What else could cause such pains?

I get pains in my wrist, elbow, knees, etc.. Sometimes the pain shoots down my whole arm or whole leg. It feels like it is deep in there. Almost feels like growing pains I had as a youth. (not growing anymore trust me, i’m 24 and 5′11 woman). Right now I have this horrible pain in my elbow, well not the bone part but the other side of the elbow (inner side), feels deep in there. It’s like a shooting yet consistent pain. It hurts so bad!!!
Oh and I’ve never broke anything besides my pinky toe. But I do have a kind of "double joint" in my knees and elbow.
Since I don’t know the right answer and since everyone was so compassionate and serious I will put to a vote. Thank You All.

Can arthritis spread to other joints as the person gets older ?

Hi since i can rememeber i have swelling and pain in my knees and joints, but recently about the last year or so the pain has come into my hip and left side of my back, and my toe joint is also swollen and aches the same ache as my legs and back do. I have been to the doctors and he hasnt said what it is yet, he used to tell me it was growing pains but now i am older and there is pain in other areas im thinking it could be something else i think the doctor also thinks this as there is nothing i do that can cause my joints to swell, The pain is always there and the i was given ibuprofen and it takes the swelling down a little, but as soon as i stop taking them it come back swollen and very sore. my legs and also my foot and toe. Dose arthritis spread? I have to go back to get my joints checked but i dont want to mention arthritis. As i aint really sure about the symtoms.

I have a family history of rheumatoid arthritis. What are my chances of getting the disease?

I have occasional joint pain in my left wrist and once it goes away, I wont have that pain for about 3-6 months. Should I got get checked out by the doctor to make sure it’s not RA?

What can be done to ease arthritis in the ankle ?

My partner broke his ankle a number of years ago, he has just been told he has arthritis in this joint which is causing him pain. The doctor has given painkillers and said to take glucosamine, Can he do anything else ?

What is body disfunction?My mother is suffering from nerve problems and pains at the joints ,she is not able?
