ok, here is the situation.
I went into the docs office on 7/15 to see what was up with a swollen knee that was developing.he ran an X-Ray, which showed no arthritis and that there was indeed fluid building up. I noticed it was slowly getting worse day in and day out, specially when i used it A lot playing soft ball. Doc, scheduled an MRI on the 17th. The results of the mri came back on the 21st. There was no tears, or rips no blockages or tumors, but again fluid on the knee. since the MRI did not show anything, besides the fluid the doctor then decided to run some Lyme’s tests and start me on doxycycln 100mg as a precaution until the results come back. On the 22nd i received the results, as negative, however he still has me on the meds as it clears up lots of other issues too i guess. I went in for a follow up on the 31st, and my doctor pulled out some fluid from my knee to test it for infections. (fluid was a light yellow color) Those results have come back that there was inflammation, but there was no bacterial infection at all, and no crystals. My doctor said, that sometimes peoples joints can act up, and said he spoke to a rhumetologist, who recommends i stay on the doxycycln until it is done (another weeks worth). he says ssince thereis no bacterial infection or parasitic infection, that my joint is in no danger of becoming deformed or harmed. so, through elimination we have gotten rid of Arthritis, LLyme’s gout, pseudogout, tumors, bacterial infections including gonorrhea parasitic infections, septic infections. today my knee is still insome pain, and there is still a decent fluid build up, but movement has been improving, and the pain is no longer a problem. my question, and thanks for reading this far, is any thoughts as to what this could be? My doc wants me to see a rhumatologist in a couple weeks if the fluids and knee do not heal up on its own. whats left? death? ill be honest, i am a little concerned now. thanks!!!!!!
