40 weeks pregnant and experiencing joint pain.?
Posted on December 22nd, 2008 in Joint-Pain-Pregnancy
I’m looking for advice on how to ease joint pain. I’m 40 weeks pregnant and looking forward to seeing my baby and an end to the pregnancy. I’m doing things to encourage labour like walking, sex, spicy foods, I had a cervical sweep last week but nothing came of it. Right now I’ve given up on trying anything else… like castor oil, or nipple stimulation.. they seem to drastic for me. Anyway when I go to bed at night my knees, hips, and ankles KILL. I get my husband to massage them and it helps while he’s doing it… but then five mins later I’m in pain again. Any suggestions on how to ease the discomfort… I should say any natural ways.????

Try to keep your feet raised during the day as often as possible. Your body is carrying some extra weight right now and your feet, legs and ankles are supporting the weight. Also when you bathe try throwing some seasalt in the water.
Hope this helps. congrats on the baby have a quick and speedy delivery.
