Ok so i’ve been suffering from chronic neck and shoulder (left) pain for about a month or so now.

I’ve obviously seen the doctor about this, and she seems to believe it may be a pinched nerve near my spinal cord which is causing this.. im not so sure to be honest.

I should also note i’ve also seen her about an artery/vein pain in my left arm with stems from my chest (which feels like blood flow restriction).. she initially diagnosed this as a pinched nerve or nerve irritation.. i wasn’t satisfied with this diagnosis after still experiencing the pain a few weeks later and went to a doctor which specialise’s in EMG (electro magnetic graph) analysis.. from first look he hasn’t noticed anything major that would be causing this.. but still has to analyze the data further which he will be sending back to my GP in a weeks time.

Im unsure if the two pain’s are related or not. I have also been experiencing occasional headaches.. relatively mild to strong. I guess im trying to find a relation between the three.. but there might not be.

Would it be advisable to seek out a CAT scan? Im worried these may be aneurysm’s near my heart and possibly my brain.. as i have noticed any increase in higher blood pressure whether it be from a substance such as caffeine or exercise usually cause’s some sense of pain on the left side of my body.. just above my heart and near the joint of my left arm.

I could be overreacting to all of this.. I have a keen interest in psychology and as such you tend to read into how the brain works, how damage in different areas effects motor skills and thought development and as such have a higher tendacy to worry when yourself starts to experience similar symptoms hehe.

I’ll be making another appointment with my Doc as soon as i can to address several of these issues.. but in the case of waiting.. i was wondering if anyone here could shed any light on possible reasons? Maybe through experience or knowledge.
